About The Voice
This NBC reality competition series, famous for its blind audition format, pits unknown singers against one another in a contest determining the winner of a record deal and $100,000. The four judges, which have included combinations of Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Adam Levine and Shakira, begin each competition by listening to solo artists or duos without seeing what they look like, and only coming face to face with them after making commitments to being their coaches. When artists get more than one judge’s commitment, the coaches vie for the competitors’ selection. The judges then mentor singers in an effort to win them viewers’ votes and the grand prize.
